At Merridale Cidery & Distillery, we are thrilled to announce our outstanding performance at two renowned cider award competitions this past June.

In a celebration of craftsmanship and quality, Merridale garnered accolades for several of our creations. At North America’s largest and most comprehensive cider awards, the Seattle International Cider & Perry Awards, Merridale was awarded GOLD for its Traditional, Mo’moro, and Merri Berri ciders. The success continued at the 7th annual Cidercraft Awards, a competition spearheaded by the first and only print publication dedicated to cider in the Americas and around the world. Merridale won SILVER for its Cowichan Dry and a DOUBLE GOLD for Merri Berri, highlighting this exceptional cider’s universal appeal and distinctive excellence.

Merri Berri, a standout among its peers, has captivated judges and cider lovers alike, winning at both competitions. This semi-sweet cider is a refreshing blend of local apples, slowly fermented and meticulously blended with British Columbia black currant, cherry, and raspberry juices. Merri Berri strikes a harmonious balance between sweetness, acidity, and the mild tannins from the black currant and raspberry, making it a perfect summertime favourite.
