Looking for a way to support animals in need while enjoying fall in the Cowichan Valley? This October, bring a little kindness with you when you visit Merridale.

As part of Harvest for Hounds, we’re hosting An Apple Crate of Kindness, a month-long pet supply drive supporting the BC SPCA.

Our apple crate will be waiting at Merridale throughout October. Bring a donation, add it to the crate, then stay and experience harvest on the farm. Wander the orchard, grab something from our Eatery, sip hot apple cider and enjoy one of the best times of year to visit Cobble Hill and the Cowichan Valley.

What Can You Donate?

The BC SPCA can accept:

• Pet food & treats: Opened or unopened, as long as they are in the original packaging and not expired
• Pet toys: New or gently used dog, cat and small-animal toys in good condition
• Pet supplies: Kitty litter, leashes, collars, hay and other small-animal supplies
• Comfort items: Towels, flat blankets and pet beds

Bring your donation with you when you visit Merridale and help us fill the apple crate to the top.

Our Pet Supply Drive runs throughout October, giving you plenty of time to experience Harvest Season at Merridale while supporting a great cause.

Bring the dog, explore the orchard, warm up with a hot apple cider and discover what’s happening around the farm during one of the most beautiful seasons on Vancouver Island.
