Picture yourself sipping craft cider while watching the sunset over our heritage orchard with the sweet scent of apples in the air. Then, cozying up under plush bedding while gazing up at the stars through the circular skylight.

Looking for your unique Canadian glamping getaway? Look no further! Merridale’s yurts are circular, beautifully appointed wooden-framed tents. Each Yurt sleeps two adults and features hardwood floors, plush bedding, full bathrooms, and majestic views of our lovely orchard. Both of our yurts are named after heritage cider apple varieties that we grow in our orchards: Yarlington and Tremlett.

Our Merridale yurts are available between April and November

A two-night minimum stay is in place.

With the Farmhouse Eatery close by your accommodation, you can enjoy some farm-to-table homemade eats, purchase a selection of ciders or spirits and unwind on your private deck overlooking the orchard. You may also select one of our add-on items and have it waiting for you upon arrival. Just choose from one of our selections while booking your reservation.

Everything You Need to Know About the Merridale Yurts

  • With the Farmhouse Eatery just steps away from your Yurt, you can enjoy some farm-to-table homemade eats, purchase a selection of ciders or spirits and unwind on your private deck overlooking the orchard.
  • Laze the morning away in your well appointed yurt until check out (11 am) and then make your way to the Merridale Eatery for a beautiful brunch.
  • Choose one of our Add-On options while making your booking and we will have it waiting for you upon arrival.

  • Check In – 3:00pm to 6:00pm: If you are arriving after hours, please contact us to arrange your check in well in advance. There may not be anyone here to greet you, so we will give you instructions on what to do and what to expect.
  • Check Out – 11:00am: We are not able to accommodate late check-outs.
  • Quiet Time: Quiet hours begin at 9:00pm nightly – Even the fairies need to sleep.

Free wifi is available on the property but it can be intermittent at the yurts.

Our yurts comfortably accommodate two people. However, a foam mattress may be added to the Yarlington Yurt for 1-2 small children if arranged in advance (additional charges apply).

Smoking is not permitted in the yurts. We have a clearly marked designated smoking area next to the courtyard.

Our yurts are located down a grassy slope and aren’t vehicle accessible – but we can offer a wheelbarrow to help you transport your belongings down to the yurt.

Cooking is not permitted in the yurts. There is a small shared fridge outside in the patio area for your beverages. You can join us in our Eatery or you can also pre-order one of our yurt add-ons and have it waiting upon your arrival. We offer a Pizza & Cider combo, Charcuterie & Cider combo and even a Bark-uterie box if you are bringing your furry family member!

  • A full refund is available up to 14 days prior to your reservation date. After 14 days, the full amount is non-refundable.
  • All rates exclude taxes and are based on double occupancy.

We love animals, and we love to welcome furry visitors to our yurts. The fee to bring your best friend is $35 and includes water and food bowls to use during your stay and a furry friend designated blanket for snuggling up at night.

Here are a few rules that pets and owners all need to abide by so the space can be enjoyed by all. We don’t mean to sound so formal and we know that some rules are made to be broken, but not these ones please

  • Pets are not permitted on any of the furniture – yes, that includes the bed. Please use the blanket provided if you didn’t bring a bed for your pet.
  • Do not leave your best friend alone in the yurt at any time. They will miss you, and it’s a rule.
  • To keep all pets safe, including your own, use a leash during walks or while in our courtyard or eatery. Many dogs can be on the property at any one time, including the resident dog, Cal.
  • Stick to the orchard path – Although it is tempting to let your dog run free in the orchard, don’t. Our trees and orchard floor are sensitive. Besides, the pathway terrain isn’t bumpy like the orchard.
  • Dogs are welcome on the outdoor, covered patio at our eatery and in the courtyard.
  • As we are sure you understand, if your pet causes damage to the property, we will need to charge it to your credit card on file.
  • You must clean up after your pet. Scoop the poop, please – Everyone will thank you for that!
