Set among the apple trees during Harvest, our two-day fall market brings together local Vancouver Island makers, dog-focused businesses, food, sweets, art, jewelry and skincare for a weekend of shopping at the farm.
And you definitely don’t need a dog to come.
The market is part of our bigger Harvest for Hounds weekend, so while you’re here you can shop local, book a Harvest photo with your dog, bring a donation for our Apple Crate of Kindness Pet Supply Drive, walk the orchard, stop for lunch and experience apple Harvest in the Cowichan Valley.

Make a Harvest memory while you’re here.
A professional photographer will be joining us in the orchard October 3 & 4 from 11 AM–3 PM to capture dogs and their people surrounded by apples and autumn colours.
You’ll receive a high-resolution digital photo, and 50% of proceeds from dog photos will be donated to the BC SPCA.

We’re filling an Apple Crate of Kindness with pet supplies for the BC SPCA throughout October.
Bring a donation along when you visit the market and help us fill the crate with supplies for animals in need.

Take a Fall Walk Through the Orchard
One of the best parts about visiting a market at Merridale is what surrounds it.
October is Harvest season in the orchard. Take our Orchard Walk through the apple trees and see what’s happening around the farm during one of the most beautiful times of year in the Cowichan Valley.
Dogs are welcome on leash.
Stay for Lunch, Cider & a Barkuterie Bowl
Shopping works up an appetite.
Stop at the Merridale Eatery for farm-to-table food, cider and spirits, with dog-friendly outdoor seating available.
And if your shopping companion has four legs, order them a Barkuterie Bowl.
Throughout October, $1 from every Barkuterie Bowl and bag of Merridale Dog Biscuits sold will be donated to the BC SPCA.
