Merridale offers two dog-friendly outdoor dining areas in the Cowichan Valley.

Our lower covered patio is dog-friendly, giving you and your pup a sheltered place to settle in for a meal, cider or cocktail.

From June through September, dogs are also welcome in our seasonal courtyard, where you can relax beneath the trees and enjoy summer in the orchard.

We provide water bowls for thirsty pups, and on those extra-hot summer days, we’ll even add some ice to help keep them cool.

Joining us for a casual visit? Walk-ins are welcome. Or, if you’re planning ahead, reserve your table and request one of our dog-friendly outdoor dining areas.

Meet the Merridale Barkuterie Bowl

If you’re dining out, your dog should probably get to order something too.

Our $12 Barkuterie Bowl is charcuterie for your four-legged companion, featuring:

• Veggies

We also make dog biscuits by hand in our Merridale bakery, because a trip to the cidery deserves a treat for everyone.

We’ve got you covered too. Our Farmhouse Eatery serves farm-fresh comfort food made to pair with our handcrafted ciders, spirits and cocktails.

Take Your Dog for a Walk Through the Orchard

Once everyone has eaten, grab the leash and head into the orchard.

Our orchard loop takes about 25 to 30 minutes and winds through the heart of our working cider apple orchard. It’s an easy way to explore Merridale, give your pup a good walk and see where our orchard-to-glass story begins.

The orchard is always changing. Summer brings growing fruit and shady trees, while fall means ripening cider apples and the excitement of harvest.

And when Hot Apple Cider Season arrives? Grab a hot cider before your walk and take it along for the loop.
