Merridale Cidery Wins Big at the 9th Annual Cidercraft Awards

Our flagship Cowichan Dry was awarded Double Gold in the Modern Dry category, while our bold and aromatic Mo’Moro brought home Gold in the Hopped Cider category.

At Merridale, every cider begins in the orchard. Crafted in small batches on our Cobble Hill farm, these ciders reflect the character of Vancouver Island and the passion our team pours into every bottle and can.

Cowichan Dry has long been a guest favourite, known for its crisp, clean finish and balanced apple-forward profile. Earning Double Gold is an exciting recognition of the traditional craftsmanship behind one of our most beloved ciders.

Meanwhile, Mo’Moro continues to stand out for its creative edge. Bright citrus notes and aromatic hops create a refreshing, layered cider that continues to push the boundaries of modern cider making while staying rooted in orchard-grown flavour.
